We are excited to welcome Sean M. Duffy, Sr. as our guest speaker for the March Luncheon!


Sean currently serves as the Executive Director of the Big River Coalition, where he plays a crucial role in advocating for the future of navigation on the Mississippi River Ship Channel. His efforts focus on maintaining the channel's critical dimensions and ensuring the smooth flow of maritime commerce, which is vital to the nation's economy. Sean also holds the position of Executive Vice President at the Louisiana Maritime Association and is the President and CEO of Duffy Maritime Consultants, LLC.

With extensive experience in the maritime industry, Sean has held various executive management positions, including roles as a Boarding Agent, Deckhand, Stevedore General Superintendent, and Marine Surveyor. He is well-versed in the challenges faced by the maritime sector, both regionally and nationally, and has been recognized for his leadership in deepening the Mississippi River Ship Channel and promoting coastal restoration. Sean's involvement in numerous boards and advisory committees, along with his many awards and recognitions, underscores his dedication to the industry and his expertise in maritime advocacy.
