Fellow Mariners, of the esteemed Port of New Orleans Mariners Club, it is our pleasure to introduce our distinguished speaker for the upcoming luncheon on March 11, 2025. We are honored to welcome Andrew Kilshaw from the Office of the Governor of Louisiana.

During the luncheon, our speaker will provide insights on a topic that effects all in the maritime industry and community: Positioning Louisiana's Maritime Industry to Win.

Andrew Kilshaw, a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, La., serves as a Policy Advisor in the Office of Governor Jeff Landry. A proud alumnus of Louisiana State University, Andrew graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with focuses in Political Science, History, and Sociology. Predominately advising the Governor on Infrastructure, Healthcare and Local issues, Andrew’s professional career has centered on public policy at all levels of government; local, state, and federal.

Before joining Governor Landry’s administration, Andrew created the Louisiana Association of Beverage Alcohol Retailers (LABAR) the only trade association in the state focused on protecting and promoting Louisiana’s independent, family-owned alcohol retailers. As the Director of Government Affairs for LABAR, Andrew spearheaded the association’s legislative advocacy and new membership recruitment. Andrew got his start in alcohol policy with the Beer Industry League of Louisiana, who represents Louisiana’s beer wholesalers, assisting with the group’s legislative affairs.

Andrew previously spent time in Senator Bill Cassidy’s office in Washington D.C. There he worked under Cassidy’s Transportation and Healthcare Policy Advisors. His time in Washington D.C. was spent predominately working on the Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill and finding solutions to Social Security’s impending insolvency.

Please join us and our distinguished guest during this enlightening luncheon at Vessel NOLA!
